9 Holes - Par 72
Blacklion GC - 9 Hole Lay-Out with multiple tees and different par’s and distances.
Hole 1 / 10 - 315 mtrs - Par 4
Our first tee is elevated and gives you a chance of a good drive. Be ware of the out of bounds on the right as many a casually struck ball ends up in the farmer’s field bordering the golf course. Upper Lough McNean is a feature in the back ground and a well struck drive will show a glimpse of the green with the lake as the back drop. One of the largest greens on the course, a front or back pin position will make you question your club selection. Starting with a par is a good score on this challenging hole.

Hole 2 / 11 - 165 mtrs - Par 3
The signature hole of Blacklion Golf Club. With a tee box build up within the lake boundaries, only a well struck shot will carry the water and end up on the peninsula green. A big bunker protects the natural bail out area left of the green. Anything right is in danger of being wet and the drop zone will be from where you play your next shot. One of the great par 3’s in Ireland.

Hole 3 - 348 mtrs Par 4 | Hole 12 - 388 mtrs Par 4
From either tee box, this is one of the most challenging holes on Blacklion GC. From the forward tees, Loug McNean really starts cutting into the landing area and from the back tee, it takes a very good drive to be able to pick a shorter iron out of the bag. The green has two levels and sits precariously close to the lough edge. Go long and you have a devilish chip to a green sloping away from you. The bail out on this hole is again left but with a tree line playing havoc with that option and a lone fir tree preventing your approach, this is a very tough hole and walking away with a par is some achievement.
